Aesthetic forest

Europe’s only palm forest is located at the northeastern tip of Crete on Cape Sideros, close to the sea.

It occupies an area of just 20 hectares and is a site in the Cretan land of unique beauty.

The palm trees are native and their clusters cover the largest part of a small ravine that reaches down to the sea.
